Polish metal group Decapitated formed back in 1996, gaining recognition as one of the genre’s most widely respected musicians by Kerrang!. Their work in the underground metal community has earned them a strong international fanbase, having released seven studio albums, with their most recent ‘Anticult’ peaking at #2 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart.
The group was founded by Wacław "Vogg" Kiełtyka and his young brother Witold "Vitek" Kiełtyka in their teenage years, signing to Wicked World and debuting in 2000 with ‘Wings of Creation”. Unfortunately, the group was involved in a car accident, with Vitek passing away and another member, Adrian Kowanek being severely injured. The group disbanded for a time, but in 2011 Vogg reassembled the members and looked for a new drummer and vocalist, reforming the band in his brother’s memory.
