Heaven 17 debuted in 1981 after releasing "(We Don't Need This) Fascist Groove Thang". Over the years they've established themselves in music, coming back in 2017 with "Not for Public Broadcast". They will be hitting the road soon, with shows in Liverpool, London and Bath.

Named after the River Sheaf, which runs through the city, the Yorkshire industrial city of Sheffield provides the perfect place to soak up some culture amongst the city's famous parks, woods and gardens.

Sheffield plays host to the Lyceum and Crucible Theatres that bring to the city top class productions with star-studded casts from all over the world. Sheffield’s neo-classical City Hall is one of the city’s most glamorous venues. Dominating the main square of Barker’s Pool, the City Hall is managed by the Sheffield City Trust and its various rooms regularly host concerts, conferences and other events, particularly in its 2,271-capacity Oval Hall.

The Grade II*-listed City Hall took a while to come to life as it was originally proposed as a Memorial Hall in 1916 to commemorate the lives lost in World War I. Although it was designed by 1920 it didn’t begin construction until 1929 due to disputes over its purpose and economic problems after the war. The City Hall was officially opened in 1932 and survived bombing during World War II before it was refurbished and redeveloped in 2005 at a cost of £12.5 million.

The City Hall’s key room is its Oval Hall which boasts Sheffield’s largest organ with over 4,000 pipes, although its 850-capacity Ballroom and the 500-seater Memorial Hall also see frequent use. Recent shows at the City Hall include Take That’s Gary Barlow and its regular Last Laugh Comedy Cabaret which takes place every Friday and Saturday night in the Memorial Hall.
