Political satirist and comedian Mark Thomas is well known for his political stuns on his show 'The Mark Thomas Comedy Product'. His show earned him increasing criticism from politicians, but the public and critics saw it as a crucial investigative tool, with Thomas's investigation into tax avoidance leading to the then Chancellor of the Exchequer, Gordon Brown, to change the law. As well as his popular show, Thomas has been an active voice in political activism, frequently appearing at comedy benefit gigs and organised demonstrations for change. In 2006 he was added to the Guiness Book of Records for most demonstrations held in one day: 20 in 20 different locations.
