Ghost Stories follows the parapsychology professor Phillip Goodman as he delivers a lecture on ghost stories. Dr. Goodman tells the stories of three people who’ve had paranormal experiences that he just can’t explain: a nightwatchman, a student and a businessman. Watch as these three stories are re-enacted before your eyes… If you can resist hiding behind your fingers!

Ghost Stories opened in Liverpool in 2010 before transferring to the Lyric Hammersmith in London. Tickets for Ghost Stories soon sold well enough for it to move to the West End. Consequently, it enjoyed spells at the Duke of York’s Theatre and Arts Theatre.

The show went on tour around Australia in 2016. The following year, Ghost Stories hit the big screen in a film adaptation which starred Nyman, Alex Lawther, Martin Freeman and Paul Whitehouse.

In 2019 Ghost Stories returned to the Lyric Hammersmith for an extended run. As a result, the show will head to the Ambassadors Theatre. It will then embark on a full UK tour starting at The Alexandra in Birmingham. Don’t wait too long to book for this truly edge-of-your-seat encounter! Venue Details

Glasgow’s oldest and longest-running theatre, the Theatre Royal continues to dazzle audiences in Scotland’s largest city. Regularly hosting in-house and touring productions, the Category A listed 1541-capacity theatre is the performance home of Scottish Opera and Scottish Ballet.

The Theatre Royal opened in 1867 under the ownership of theatre entrepreneur James Bayliss and was designed in its current incarnation by the architect C.J. Phipps in 1879. The theatre found itself under the ownership of the production company Howard & Wyndham Ltd for six decades until it was sold to Scottish Television (STV) in 1957, becoming the ITV network’s main Scottish home. The venue was bought by Scottish Opera with public support in 1974 and remains under the same ownership today, although the management of the theatre is now overseen by AMG.

As the home theatre of Scottish Opera and Scottish Ballet the Theatre Royal is the undisputed place in Scotland to catch quality opera and ballet productions. Outside of opera and ballet, the theatre presents a wide variety of shows including drama, pantomime, musicals, comedy and children’s performances. With recent visitors to the Theatre Royal including Dylan Moran and Frankie Boyle, a quality night’s entertainment is guaranteed.
