Biography

Leicestershire County Cricket Club is one of eighteen first-class county clubs within the domestic cricket structure of England and Wales. It represents the historic county of Leicestershire. It has also been representative of the county of Rutland. The club's limited overs team is called the Leicestershire Foxes. Founded in 1879, the club had minor county status until 1894 when it was promoted to senior status pending its entry into the County Championship in 1895. The Foxes hold the record for winning the T20 Blast competition three times and are looking for their 4th title! The home of Leicestershire CCC is the Fischer County Ground, Grace Road in Aylestone Leicestershire, as well as cricket the club hosts a range of events including, wedding receptions, parties, functions and music concerts welcoming the likes of Sir Elton John.
