Gallagher burst into the public consciousness as the lead singer of the rock band Oasis in the early 1990s. Gaining a reputation for his antics and distinctive singing style, the Burnage lad and his brother Noel became part of history. Oasis released eight UK No. 1 albums and sold over 75 million records worldwide, becoming one of the best-selling bands of all time. Oasis suddenly broke up in 2009 due to disagreements between the two brothers.

Noel Gallagher went on to further success, forming his own band Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds. Meanwhile, Liam and the remaining Oasis members formed Beady Eye in 2009. Beady Eye released two UK top five albums, 2011's Different Gear, Still Speeding and 2013's BE, before disbanding in 2014.

Gallagher launched his solo career in 2017 with the single 'Wall of Glass'. Liam Gallagher tickets were at a premium as Gallagher performed his first solo show at The Ritz in Manchester that year.
