Robyn

Biography

Robyn is one of the undisputed queens of modern electropop. Since arriving on the scene in 1995, this Swede has taken the world by storm with her sleek and sentimental pop bangers. Boasting signature songs include 'Show Me Love', 'With Every Heartbeat' and 'Dancing On My Own', Robyn's influence on pop in the 21st century has been significant. Robyn - real name Robin Miriam Carlsson - began her pop career as a fresh-faced 15-year-old in 1995, releasing her debut album Robyn Is Here in October that year. The record showed her early promise as three of its singles saw international success with 'Do You Know (What It Takes)' and 'Show Me Love' reaching the top 10 of the US Billboard Top 100. While her next two albums My Truth and Don't Stop The Music consolidated her success in her native Scandinavia, it was with her fourth album, 2005's Robyn, that she broke into wider consciousness as its single 'With Every Heartbeat' hit No. 1 in the UK and won a Grammy nomination for Best Dance/Electronica Album. Robyn's critically acclaimed Body Talk series, dropped throughout 2010, sealed her superstardom with singles 'Dancing On My Own', 'Hang With Me' and 'Indestructable' topping the charts. After laying low with two collaborative EPs, Robyn finally returned with her eighth album Honey in 2018, an effort that topped many end-of-year lists. Don't miss the chance to see this avant-garde pop artist live.
