The 1999 British nu jazz group Cinematic Orchestra are a six-piece band, famous for their improvisations, turntabling and electronic elements. Their 1999 debut Motion gave them critical success and a future of performing at the Director's Guild Awards ceremony, and writing a new score to Dziga Vertov's classic 1929 Russian silent film Man with a Movie Camera. The downtempo band have more recently set up their own independent label Motion Audio. Catch Cinematic Orchestra this summer at Glastonbury and multiple festivals across Europe.
