Epsom Playhouse is the main theatre in Epsom and Ewell, Surrey. Open since 1984, the Epsom Playhouse prides itself on offering a wide and diverse event programme to its visitors, featuring both high-profile and local productions. The Epsom Playhouse’s main auditorium can seat up to 450 people and regularly hosts leading lights from the worlds of drama, opera, comedy, dance, and family entertainment, along with sporting events such as wrestling. Just a few of the recent performances held at the Epsom Playhouse include comedian Joe Pasquale, the summer pantomime Rapunzel and a Russian National Ballet production of Swan Lake. Meanwhile, the Playhouse’s more intimate Myers Studio seats up to 80 people. Octagonal in shape, the Myers Studio is regularly used to host small-scale drama and comedy shows, children’s shows and community events, as well as the Playhouse’s popular Studio Jazz evenings which see different jazz performers playing there each time.
