There is no live entertainment venue in Bath better than Komedia. Based in the beautiful Grade II-listed building of the former Beau Nash cinema, Komedia is the go-to destination in the Roman city for comedy, music, cabaret and club nights, hosting over 400 events per year.
Bath’s branch of Komedia is famous for being Somerset’s prime spot for stand-up comedy and live music, as it has won five Chortle Awards for Best Venue in the West and Wales. One of the main factors in Komedia’s success is its regular nights, particularly its Saturday double-header of Krater Comedy Club and Motorcity, Bath’s biggest club night.
Komedia’s influence in Bath goes beyond its own programming as it regularly hosts events for many of the city’s art festivals. Festivals that Komedia has relationships with include the Bath Comedy Festival, The Bath Festival, the Bath Children’s Literature Festival, Bath Fringe Festival, and the FilmBath Festival.
While Komedia’s programming has deservedly brought most of the plaudits, the venue has also been highly lauded for its food, serving up some of the best locally sourced grub you’ll find at an entertainment venue at its Arts Café. Komedia’s kitchen has won multiple Bath Good Food Awards along with a Taste of the West Gold Award in 2016.
