As the name suggests, the Soup Kitchen is a delicious canteen serving up salads, sandwiches and of course...soups! But beyond food, the Soup Kitchen is a well established part of Manchester's nightlife. It hosts various club nights and parties, as well as comedy and film nights and art exhibitions. The Soup Kitchen is situated right in the heart of the quirky Northern Quarter. It appears fairly small from the outside, however it also has a hidden basement floor for its events. It fits the district, with grimy vibes, award-winning food and great live events. It's also well-visited during the day and night, even hosting an afternoon club night on the first Sunday of the month from 3pm. Some of the regular club nights involve Hot Milk, Swing Ting, In The Loop, meandyou, Doodle and Be My Guest. The musical flavour is wide-ranging, integrating soul, disco, funk, hip=hop, rap, South American, electronica and much more. But whether it's live DJs spinning great tunes or bands introducing new sounds, events at the Soup Kitchen are intimate, lively and in keeping with Manchester's great music scene.
