Opened in 2015, HOME is one of Manchester’s newest places to see theatre, dance, independent films, art and plenty more. The team are focused on providing the community with experiences, using different disciplines of the arts to create engagement, take risks and create thought-provoking events. HOME is also dedicated to the dissemination and development of talent. Theatre at HOME has a special focus on international work, where it often stages foreign language plays and works in collaboration with international theatre companies and festivals. Each year, the venue hosts Orbit and PUSH; festivals that showcase work from around the world and from around Manchester, respectively. To cater to their wide range of shows and events, HOME features five cinema areas, two theatres, a gallery, a function room and an outdoor terrace. There’s also a bookshop that stocks books, magazines, independent publications, journals and gift cards, where content is specialised to suit HOME’s aim of disseminating work and promoting the relationship between community and the arts. Visitors will truly feel at HOME with the venue’s selection of onsite eateries. Whether you’re looking for pre-theatre dining, cocktails and snacks, or something to keep the little ones fed, there’s plenty on offer across the Ground Floor Bar, First Floor Restaurant or Cinema Bar and Roof Terrace. You can even order a takeaway to munch on the go!
