The Beach Ballroom has made its name for being one of Scotland's more unusual dance spaces. It was first built in 1923 and cost £50,000 to construct. The building was expanded in 1963 and renovated in the 1970s. The building is home to one of Scotland's most famous dance floors. This is due to the dancefloor floating on fixed steel springs, which gives it a noticeable bounce.
Over the years The Beach Ballroom has gained a reputation for being one of Scotland's more unusual music venues. Over the years, the Beach Ballroom has hosted many famous acts in its main performance. Past performers at the Beach Ballroom include The Beatles, The Small Faces, Pink Floyd, The Who and Cream. The venue has also hosted more recent acts like The Ordinary Boys as well as tribute acts.
However, the Beach Ballroom's range is not just limited to music. The venue regularly hosts dances, conferences, weddings and sports like British Masters Boxing bouts. In addition, the venue runs a Young at Heart programme, a series of events aimed at the over 50s. These include tea dances and lunches. Speaking of tea, the venue also offers up fantastic afternoon teas.
From its 1,000 capacity ballroom to its intimate 50-capacity Promenade Room, the Beach Ballroom's four rooms are sure to have something for everyone. Why not pick up tickets for its next event now? You can find the best Beach Ballroom tickets right here at TickX.
