Manchester has always been a beacon for comedy in the UK, with many of today's most famous comedians finding their humble beginnings with Mancunion gigs, but one venue has always stood out among the rest as a veritable holy place of laughter.
The Frog and Bucket is a cornerstone of the Northern comedy circuit, acting as the original and longest running Alternative Comedy Venue in the city. Many artists have walked through their doors to hone the skill of comedy, from Johnny Vegas and Peter Kay in the 90's, through to John Bishop, Lee Mack, Ross Noble and more.
Open four nights a week, the comedy club is always hosting upcoming comics and open mic nights, but make sure to check out the blue plaque and mourn the comedians who have 'died' onstage at the hands of their hecklers!
